I’ve been shooting Mark Berry for a new magazine The Boarder Mag at my home spot. I see Mark kite quite a bit and he seems to spend more time in the air than he does on land.

Mark edits Kitefreestyle a bi-monthly online show you can see Episode 3 Here

I was asked by Four Times World Champion Aaron Hadlow to shoot stills and film him in Hurghada.

The set up at Colona Watersports is perfect, Jessi and Bengan hooked us up with a shaded platform and boats to make shooting even easier. The spot is awesome for freestyle the sand bar provides butter flat water on the inside, Aaron was going off.

To check out the photos be sure to get Kiteworld Magazine’s Issue #35 out in September, with a huge article on how Aaron has carved his way through the sport with style, for now feast your eyes on this video, edited by the man himself Aaron Hadlow

Neal cracks one out whilst on the job

Neal cracks one out whilst on the job

I’ve been a Kiteworld tester for a couple of years now, this time we’ve headed to the “The wind machine” also known as Tenerife to test out all the new 2008 kit. It’s a sweet set up as we can store all the test kit right on the beach at The Shinn Centre

There’s a range of riding conditions in such a small spot and it always seems to be windy. You can go surfing in double over head waves with no wind and 15 minutes along the coast can be blowing 50knots, not to mention boasting the longest down hill in Europe if your into mountain biking.

You can see the whole article in Kiteworld Magazine’s Issue #33

I’ve been filming for Andy Gordon’s new masterpiece here in SA, starring Aaron Hadlow and Jason Furness. Andy’s always one step ahead with ideas for his movies, I’ve never seen anything like it in Extreme Sports. It was a good laugh working with Jason Furness and as always with Aaron, banging out high level moves on demand.

The Movie is filmed in association with Flexifoil, Red Bull and Chiemsee

With additional voice over from Paul J Meyer

I headed up to Frinton this weekend to film and shoot stills of the top landboarders in the UK, Lewis Wilby, Mark Berry and Dave Ursell

The clouds threatened to clear but it remained pretty grey but the wind was pumping all day nevertheless, I had a quick session and have never kited in wind that gusty, I was surprised the guys could still bust out all the moves.

I’ve never seen Kitelandboarding at such a high level with an array of Board-offs, Huge Kiteloops, Grind Variations and even Handle Passes.

The land of the lefts

The land of the lefts

I got invited to go and explore Peru with Jo Wilson and Christian Brouvver

Gary Siskar from the Samana Chakra treat us like kings and with help from Skip at Kite Mancora we got to see all the spots that only a well seasoned local would know about.

Peru is the land of lefts and has the longest wave in the world nearer the south. There are only 5 local kitesurfers, so it never gets busy when it’s windy, you just have to look out for all the surfers

Local Cabarete boy Ariel Corniel take the number one spot

I was sent out to cover the PKRA in Cabarete for Kiteworld Magazine, it’s the first PKRA stop that I’ve been to. The atmosphere was amazing, the crowd was going crazy everytime a local rider landed a move.

You can see the live updates here

The conditions were really choppy and gusty, the locals are used to kiting in tough conditions, giving them an advantage. In the final Alvaro Onieva broke two boards, Ariel Corniel still went on a handle pass marathon to secure the top spot.
